HUMAN SALES FOLLOW-UP

Keep plumbing estimates moving.

A water-heater quote, a repipe inquiry or planned drain work can sit unanswered while your team handles today’s jobs. Give those leads a person responsible for following up.

Email Terry about follow-up

Separate planned work from an urgent service call

Follow-up on a planned project needs context and persistence. An urgent leak needs the contractor’s emergency process. Those are different jobs.

OnHand focuses on calling your existing leads and following up on estimates. We agree which records belong in the campaign and how to return urgent or technical questions to your team.

Find out whether the job is still open

A homeowner may have postponed the work, misunderstood the scope or already hired someone. A useful call identifies what changed.

Give the caller the quoted scope, the last conversation, any approved options and your current availability. We ask what the homeowner needs next without improvising technical advice.

Make the handoff usable

If the homeowner wants to proceed, follow the booking or approval steps your team has set. If they ask whether a different heater or repair is appropriate, send the question to the person qualified to answer it.

The note should say what was discussed, what remains unresolved and who owns the next action. “Called customer” is not enough to help the next person.

Start with a defined group of leads

A pilot can focus on recent estimates or a selected set of older inquiries. Agree eligibility, calling hours, retry timing and stop conditions before calling.

Send Terry the kind of plumbing work, approximate number of leads and the age of the list. You do not need to send customer records for the first conversation.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before we talk.

Is this a plumbing answering service?

No. This page describes outbound lead and estimate follow-up. Your inbound calls and emergency response remain with your existing process.

Can you follow up on older estimates?

Yes, that can be part of the agreed scope. We first establish whether the records are appropriate to contact and whether the original scope or pricing still applies.

Can you quote the job over the phone?

We use only the prices and answers you approve. New diagnoses and scope changes go back to your team.
